ChatGPT designs ‘best cocktail in the world’

AI chatbot ChatGPT has created a recipe for the ‘best cocktail in the world’, called Heavenly Sipper.

The ChatGPT cocktail will be available at Otherworld from 20 March for free

The cocktail request was put in by the team at Dusk, a nightlife app that showcases bars in the UK and rewards users with a free drink every night.

The cocktail, called Heavenly Sipper, is made with: 25ml gin, 5ml lime juice, 10ml St-Germain elderflower liqueur, 5ml absinthe, 25ml Cointreau, 2 dashes of orange bitters, 10ml honey syrup, sparkling wine to top, and an orange twist for the garnish.

A non-alcoholic version was also offered: 28ml lime juice, 2.5 teaspoons of honey syrup, 14ml elderflower cordial, 7ml absinthe substitute (anise-flavoured syrup or bitters), 7ml juice, 2 dashes orange bitters, 10ml honey syrup, sparkling water to top, and an orange twist for the garnish.

Sophie Abrahamovitch, CEO and co-founder of Dusk, said: “While the title of best cocktail in the world might still be up for grabs, the Heavenly Sipper represents the creativity and innovation that characterises the hospitality industry today.”

Dusk has made ChatGPT’s Heavenly Sipper cocktail available to all Dusk app users for free at virtual reality venue Otherworld in Hackney, London, from 20 March for a month.

Abrahamovitch continued: “Our partnership with Otherworld, which already offers Londoners a unique and immersive VR experience, is a perfect example of how bars can embrace new tech while tapping into culture conversations and social-first experiences to excite drinkers and entice them to their venues.”

The app also asked ChatGPT to ‘comment’ on the cocktail, and it wrote: “This Heavenly Sipper cocktail contains less than 50ml of spirit measure, which makes it a lighter but still sophisticated drink that is perfect for those who prefer a more balanced cocktail.

“It’s a refreshing and flavoursome drink that combines the tartness of lime, the sweetness of honey, and the subtle floral notes of elderflower, with a hint of anise flavour.”

Earlier this month, luxury fashion house Gucci released its first collector’s cocktail in partnership with Connaught Bar mixologist Giorgio Bargiani.
