Sir Edmond Gin launches in France
Dutch brand Sir Edmond Gin has partnered with spirits importer Union Commerciale des Vins de France (UCVF) to distribute the gin in France.
Sir Edmond Gin will be available in France for the first time.
The brand’s Bourbon Vanilla Infused Gin is infused with vanilla pods from Réunion Island, and also features botanicals juniper, cardamom, cinnamon, angelica and ginger.
Joris van Gent, managing director from UCVF, said: “We are excited to join forces with Sir Edmond Gin, with its historic French connection, and bring something special to the world of spirits that will leave a lasting impression.”
The brand pays tribute to Edmond Albius, a French man who ‘single-handedly changed the future of the delicious Bourbon vanilla’.
Sir Edmond Gin will be offered in the on-trade and off-trade in France.
Co-founder Dominique Makatita said: “Bringing the gin to France is something we always envisioned from the start. Together with the specialised and professional team of UCVF, we are convinced we are going to spread our wings all over the beautiful country.
“We are very pleased to work with the team of UCVF as they are on a journey to bring a diverse and premium portfolio into the French market.”
On the palate, the gin presents flavours of vanilla pods, cardamom, cinnamon root and angelica.
The bottling is available to buy from www.topdrinks.fr.
In December last year, the gin brand secured a new distribution agreement in Denmark as part of its global expansion plan.
