ABG names commercial director
Rooster Rojo Tequila owner Amber Beverage Group (ABG) has appointed Jak Tim Lee as regional commercial director for the Asia Pacific region.
Tim Lee has assumed the newly created role in the international sales department.
“It is an absolute privilege and honour to be joining such a dynamic team at ABG,” said Tim Lee.
“I’m truly excited about the future and great ambition the company has. I look forward to this new challenge and delivering positive results by unlocking the huge growth potential that awaits in Asia Pacific.”
Prior to working with ABG, Tim Lee worked with Promixo Spirits as regional manager, and was responsible for brands including Tequila brands Jose Cuervo and 1800, Irish whiskey Bushmills, and Kraken Rum.
Before this, Tim Lee worked with Hennessy Cognac owner LVMH for eight years, managing luxury and lifestyle brands.
Vangelis Smyrlis, chief global sales officer for ABG, added: “Jak is a seasoned sales and marketing executive with experience working on several global brands. He is a great fit for our international sales team, and I welcome him to our ambitious group.
“He is an entrepreneur with a proven track record in the Asia Pacific area as well as being a spirits industry expert.”
ABG recently named its new global chief operation officer, with ex-Stock Spirits executive Ewan MacLean selected for the role. In June last year, Luxembourg-based ABG named Ruslan Romanenko as its group chief financial officer.
The group’s Kah Tequila brand recently unveiled a limited edition beaded design for its Extra Añejo Tequila bottles.
