Eminente debuts limited edition gift set
Cuban rum Eminente has unveiled a limited edition gift set containing its Reserva bottling and two handmade cups and saucers.
The gift set, available to buy in department store Selfridges, includes two handmade terracotta espresso-style cups and saucers.
Designed by illustrator Sophy Hollington, the packaging has been created to reflect the flora and fauna of Cuba to ‘transport’ the consumer to the wild side of the island.
Eminente’s Reserva rum is described as ideal for sipping on its own, over a large ice cube or added to a freshly roasted coffee to create a traditional Carajillo drink.
The bottling was created by Cuba’s youngest maestro ronero (master rum distiller). It is a blend of aguardientes, which are eaux-de-vies made from molasses distilled to 75% ABV.
These were then aged in white oak barrels that previously held whisky. The liquid was then blended and aged again with light Cuban rum distilled to 96% ABV.
Eminente Reserva was matured for a minimum of seven years.
Retailing for RRP £64.99 (US$80.19), the gift set can also be purchased online through Selfridges or Clos 19.
Earlier this year, the brand teamed up with boutique rentals specialist Kip Hideaways to create a branded cabin experience outside of London.
