Chivas Retail 18 Years Old Margaux Cask Finish Edition is available exclusively in global travel retail.

The finishing time spent in Grand Cru Margaux wine casks is said to give Chivas 18 whisky extra notes of red fruits and ‘subtle’ sweetness.

The blended Scotch whisky has been bottled at 48% ABV and will retail for US$137.

Liya Zhang, vice-president of marketing at Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, said: “We’re seeing a strong trend for premiumisation within the channel, and this new series fits perfectly within this segment.

“We hope shoppers will be as excited as we are about these limited editions, which blend Chivas’ iconic craft appeal with something a little bit different and special.

“The sophisticated bottle design adds to family and loved ones, or simply treat themselves.”

Last month, Chivas Regal – owned by Pernod Ricard – teamed up with with K-pop singer Lisa to design a limited edition bottle. That same month, the collaboration developed further as Chivas and Lisa partnered on a virtual reality experience.

Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whisky arm of Pernod Ricard, posted 25% net sales growth for its 2022 financial year.
