Tech companies continued to dominate the top 100 compilation, with Apple holding onto the number-one position for the 10th consecutive year.

A number of spirits brands also made the list. The highest-ranking spirit was Tennessee whiskey Jack Daniel’s in 85th place.

Hennessy Cognac also made the list in 93rd place.

Emma Ellis, managing director of Interbrand London, commented: “What this year’s BGB [Best Global Brands] demonstrates is that genuine brand leadership – and with that, genuine brand value – is forged through an unending commitment to understanding their customers and integrating with their lives, wants and needs.

“What customers now need more than ever is the ability to trust the actions of the brands they engage with, both in terms of what they say and do.

“Brands that lead with empathy at the forefront of what they do and how they do it, are the ones that will forge greater connections and benefit from stronger affinity, and this is reflected in this year’s Interbrand Best Global Brands rankings.”

The top 100 brands’ ranking exceeds more than US$3 trillion for the first time, with the top 10 brands accounting for 53% of the total value of the list.

The overall table value amounts to US$3,088,930 million marking a 16% rise compared with 2021.

Second place was secured by Microsoft, with Amazon in third place and Google in fourth.

Samsung placed fifth, while Toyota came in sixth position, followed by Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Disney, and Nike for the first time.

These were the top 10 biggest-selling spirits brands of 2021, according to The Brand Champions.
