Where can you taste more than 500 spirits and wines from around the world, all under one roof? It could only be at The Wine & Spirits Show. Back for another year, The Spirits Business and its sister title, the drinks business, are busy putting the final touches to the 2022 event.

This year’s show will take place from Friday 21 October to Sunday 23 October at the Chelsea Old Town Hall in London. The show will get under way at 2pm on the Friday, starting with a trade session that will be free to attend for industry members. Consumers will also be welcome during this period, which will continue until 8pm.

The Saturday consumer session will run from 1pm to 7pm, while the Sunday instalment will take place from 12.30pm to 6pm.

Rhiannon Morris, sales and marketing manager at The Spirits Business and The Global Spirits Masters Competitions, said: “We’re excited to welcome so many world-class spirits brands to exhibit and host masterclasses at the 2022 edition of The Wine & Spirits Show.

“In addition to the illustrious brands available in the exhibitor halls, The Spirits Business Medallist Selection zone will also be showcasing the largest-ever selection of medal-winning spirits from The Global Spirits Masters Competitions series, which will be a fantastic opportunity for trade and consumer guests to sample some of the highest-quality spirits on the world stage today.”

The Wine & Spirits Show will span two halls – one dedicated to wine and another to spirits. Guests will be able to peruse some of the industry’s latest products in the New Products Zone.

Spirits exhibitors

A number of standout spirits brands will be exhibiting at The Wine & Spirits Show, including Luxco. The producer boasts a varied portfolio, including Ezra Brooks Bourbon, Rebel Bourbon, El Mayor Tequila, and The Quiet Man Irish whiskey, to name just a few.

Cognac lovers will want to visit to the Mentzendorff stand, where Delamain Cognac will be available to sample.

However, if award-winning vodka is more to your taste, the Kamo Vodka team will be exhibiting a selection of flavoured examples, plus the brand’s Original offering. Cask Liquid Marketing will bring an eclectic mix of spirits, ranging from brandy and Cognac to gin and liqueurs.

Guests will also discover stands for Cambridge Club Gin, Hi-Spirits (with Paul John Indian whisky), and Thomas Henry, the official tonic water sponsor of the event.

Melita Kiely, editor of The Spirits Business, added: “The Wine & Spirits Show continues to grow year on year, and is a fantastic opportunity for spirits brands to connect with consumers and leading trade professionals. There are also some brilliant masterclasses planned with some incredible brands that will offer insightful, immersive opportunities for those eager to learn more about the fascinating world of spirits.”

Masterclasses

At 3pm on the Friday afternoon, Cask Liquid Marketing will host the first masterclass of the event, followed at 4pm by Luxco. Pol Roger will conclude the day’s masterclasses with a 6.30pm session.

On the Saturday, a trio of masterclasses will also be offered. At 2.30pm, Scottish gin and vodka producer Eight Lands will be taking centre stage, before a 4pm seminar hosted by Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages, which will focus on a changing climate. Furthermore, Hi-Spirits with Paul John Whisky will also  hold a Saturday masterclass at 5.30pm.

On the Sunday, guests can attend the Best Delle Venezie DOC of The Global Pino Grigio Masters, before the Villa Bogdano1880 masterclass at 4pm.

“Whether you’re newly interested in spirits, or you’re something of a connoisseur looking to enhance your knowledge further, The Wine & Spirits Show’s masterclasses are tailored to create a fun, interesting and welcoming space for people to learn,” added Kiely. “The 2022 show is set to be bigger and better than ever before, and we are looking forward to returning to the beautiful Chelsea Old Town Hall to host what has become a truly unmissable event.”
