Moth partners with British Airways
Premium ready-to-drink (RTD) canned cocktail brand Moth has launched its canned Margarita on British Airways.
The ready-to-drink (RTD) canned cocktail is now available onboard all British Airways short haul flights to and from UK airports. It is priced at £5.80 (US$6.94) per 125ml can.
Rob Wallis, co-founder of Moth Drinks, said: “We’re really excited to be launching our Moth Margarita on all British Airways’ short haul flights this July. As one of our best-selling cocktails, we are delighted that passengers will now be able to enjoy the taste of our bar-quality Margarita at 30,000 feet in the sky, bringing Moth with them on their journeys.”
Moth’s Margarita is made with Enemigo Tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. Flyers are invited to enjoy it straight from the can or poured over ice.
Moth’s launch into British Airways comes shortly after securing UK nationwide listings in Tesco, Sainsbury’s and WHSmiths, plus Waitrose where it launched in 2021.
From 2020 to 2021, RTDs saw volume sales rise by 11.6% globally from 686.6 million to 766.3m cases, according to data from Euromonitor International.
Earlier this month, we rounded-up the top 8 biggest-selling RTD brands. This year, Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails was crowned the RTD Brand Champion.
