TFWA highlights 2022 Cannes plans
The Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has revealed details of its 2022 World Exhibition & Conference event, with new additions to the events programme.
The annual event will return to Cannes in France from 2 to 6 October.
The opening conference will kick-off at 9am (CET) at the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals on Monday 3 October, with TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen delivering his opening remarks, and welcoming delegates from across the globe to Cannes.
Pernod Ricard and Diageo are among the spirits exhibitors already confirmed for the 2022 show.
New additions to the programme will be introduced, including a cocktail evening named ‘Get Together’. This will be hosted at 7pm on Sunday 2 October at the Carlton Beach.
The TFWA Lounge will return this year from Monday to Wednesday, between 6.30pm-9pm.
Plus, between 11pm-2am on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, a new, night-time social session will be hosted at Carlton Beach.
This year’s event will also see the return of TFWA i.lab – the ideas hub that spotlights the ‘innovative ways’ to engage the travelling consumer.
The exhibition hall will be open from 12pm-6pm on Monday; from 9am-6.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday; and from 9am-5pm on Thursday.
Delegates are also welcome to take full advantage of the TFWA One2One meeting service on-site, which will be available on the Wednesday and Thursday.
Last year’s TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes welcomed more than 3,000 visitors and 272 exhibitors.
The group recently confirmed the return of its Asia Pacific conference this year. For the Asia Pacific iteration, it has launched its Hosted Buyer Programme to help industry partners.
