Soho Street Cocktails expands range following fundraise
UK-based Soho Street Cocktails has expanded its range of cocktails with the introduction of a ready-to-drink (RTD) Strawberry Daiquiri.
The ‘pour, shake and serve’ Strawberry Daiquiri is the latest flavour of ready-made cocktails, a brand designed to pay homage to the Soho cocktail scene and the post-war spirit that has ‘defined it for generations’.
Founder and CEO Paul Scarratt said: “Our version of the Strawberry Daiquiri is amazingly fresh, and we think it’s the perfect summer drink.
“When poured, the cocktail hits you with the smell of pure strawberry, and when tasted it has layers of flavour that deliver a mouth-wateringly refreshing drink. This is an incredible addition to our portfolio of taste-first cocktails. Just pour, shake and serve to enjoy the freshest, realest Strawberry Daiquiri you are every likely to try.”
The new iteration joins a line-up that includes a Passionstar Martini, Espresso Martini and Piña Colada, all of which are offered in zero-waste pouches and tap into the demand for caffeinated drinks and tropical flavours.
The new flavour launch follows a successful private funding raise through the private equity firm Growthdeck in 2021.
The raise closed at £570,000 (US$714,000) in September, and the cash injection has gone towards funding Soho Street Cocktails’ core strategy of growing sales in bars and restaurants and through retailers, as well as increasing its production.
According to RTD market analysis report, Grand View Research, the RTD cocktail industry is forecast to grow at a rate of 12.1% a year. The market was valued at US$715 million in 2020 and is expected to be worth £1.6 billion by 2027.
By 2024 Soho Street Cocktails expects its pouches to be available in more than 500 retail outlets and more than 1,100 licensed premises.
All Soho Street Cocktails are available in a 1.5-litre pouch and sit between 9.5-12% ABV. The brand is distributed to the on-trade and export markets through Signature Brands.
The pouches can be purchased from Master of Malt for RRP £28.99 (US$36.32).
