Hennessy to open boutique in Harrods

Cognac brand Hennessy will launch a permanent retail shop in London department store Harrods next week, with an exclusive ‘one-of-a-kind’ bottling up for grabs.

The brand’s first standalone Hennessy Boutique will open in early June 2022 on the lower ground floor of the department store in London’s Knightsbridge.

The boutique will feature the brand’s entire collection, including rare Cognac blend Hennessy Paradis.

Laurent Boillot, CEO, Hennessy, commented: “We are delighted to announce the opening of a permanent Hennessy Boutique in Harrods, London. We look forward to delivering extraordinary experiences and creating ‘Paradis in London’ within the world’s most iconic department store, in opening this special destination for Hennessy.”

Hennessy will also unveil a new expression, crafted exclusively for Harrods using some of its rarest eaux-de-vie. It will be presented in a limited edition dame jeanne bottle, created in collaboration with artist Nelly Saunier.

The boutique will also provide an exclusive personalisation service, called Hennessy Hands. The service will offer leather bottle tags that can be added to the neck of a bottle, and a collection of personalised and handmade options and colours, including embossed gold or silver initials.

Michael Ward, managing director at Harrods, added: “I am so proud of Harrods’ longstanding partnership with Hennessy, and to celebrate the opening of their permanent boutique in store is truly exciting.

“We look forward to welcoming customers into this exceptionally designed space in Harrods to discover and experience Hennessy’s rarest Cognacs and collector editions.”

Last month, Hennessy created a scholarship to support students from minority backgrounds in the spirits trade.
