Ms Banks hosted an exclusive party to mark the one-year anniversary of the launch of Havana Club Cuban Spiced in the UK.

The celebration took place at Amazing Grace in London Bridge. The theme included flower murals, palm trees, a pineapple-shaped ice sculpture and colour scheme inspired by the rum’s bottle.

The VIP guest list included Tion Wayne, Zeze Mills, Tom Moutchi, Tolly T, Nife, Tazer Black, Anoushka and Kaddy from Nuka Nails, Biana Saunders, Annie Dreya and Deto Black, who performed a live set alongside Tion Wayne.

Spiced rum cocktails were served to guests, including Pineapple Daiquiris and a Spiced Rum Punch.

The expression has a busy summer planned with a major marketing campaign across the UK, including digital and out-of-home advertising across the country.

The Cuban Spiced Bus experiential tour of the UK will also continue, visiting cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. There will also be a festival partnership with Girls Can’t DJ at the Strawberries & Cream Festival in June.

Cuban Spiced was Havana Club’s first spiced offering and is made from 100% Cuban rum. Tasting notes include tropical fruit on the nose, leading to pineapple, ripe guava, light honey and warm spices on the palate.

Earlier this year, a report highlighted how spiced rum has been a key growth driver of rum in the UK over the last two years. Furthermore, spiced rum is expected to continue driving sales in 2022.
