The brand was sold in the 1980s, but will relaunch in 2022, with a new-look portfolio of modern, refreshing blends, under the guidance of entrepreneurs Alex Johns, CEO, and Steve Goldman.

Nicholson will become the official gin supplier to Goodwood Racecourse, with exclusive pouring rights across the racecourse – including at the Qatar Goodwood Festival in July.

Johns commented: “We love working in partnership with like-minded brands who share our passion and commitment to create something truly memorable.

“The brand actually focused hard on working with Goodwood because it is a fabulous organisation with a deep loyal fan-base and, more importantly, authentically British. It’s the perfect fit for us, and we are looking forward to forming a real partnership with them over the next three years.’’

The brand will benefit from exclusive bar branding at the Nicholson Gin Pavilion adjacent to the paddock. Race-goers will be able to sample the original London Dry, in addition to the new blood orange flavoured gin and range of ready-to-drink gin and tonics, both of which will be unveiled at Three Friday Nights in June.

In addition, the brand will host a pop-up gin cart at the Lord Taverners Vs Lord March Cricket Match, following racing at the Qatar Goodwood Festival on Tuesday 26 July.

Tony Langenegger, Goodwood Racecourse partnership sales director, said: ‘’Nicholson Gin have a wonderful history of making some of the finest gins in the world, put that to the setting of Goodwood Racecourse and we know there is a wonderful partnership to be enjoyed in the next three years.

“We look forward to working with the Nicholson Gin on the launch of some exciting new flavours and products that only add to a fabulous race day experience for our race-goers.’’

The gin is now on sale at the new Nicholson website nicholsongin.com, priced at RRP £37.95 (US $49.56).
