Blake Lively debuts Betty Buzz video campaign
Gossip Girl star Blake Lively has released the first video commercial for sparkling mixer brand Betty Buzz.
The US actress unveiled her range of low-calorie mixers in September 2021, having spent three years working on the range.
Lively’s 30-second spot for the brand premiered on social media and on TV yesterday (21 April). It features the actress talking about the brand’s notable level of carbonation.
Lively pours from a bottle of Betty Buzz while surrounded by a cloud of bubbles, allowing consumers to see the high carbonation levels that reside within each bottle of Betty Buzz. She then signs off the commercial saying: “There can never be too many bubbles.”
The five Betty Buzz flavours comprise: Tonic Water, Sparking Grapefruit, Meyer Lemon Club Soda, Sparkling Lemon Lime, and Ginger Beer. Each can make two drinks when mixed with any spirit.
The beverages are made with ‘real’ juice and ‘natural’ flavours, and are free from artificial colours and sweeteners.
Packaged in 266ml eco-friendly glass bottles, the brand pays homage to Lively’s late father, Ernie, who inspired her to name the line after her grandmother and aunt, who were both known as Betty.
Lively’s husband, Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, is the co-owner of Aviation American Gin, which was acquired by Diageo in 2020. Reynolds is no stranger to video ads himself, having recently created an airline spoof safety video to mark the partnership with British Airways.
Last autumn, Betty Buzz was brought together on a cocktail menu with Aviation Gin at the British Airways John F Kennedy International Airport Lounge in New York City, US.
Betty Buzz is currently available in stores across the US and online at bettybuzz.com.
A variety pack of 12 is priced at RRP US$29.99.
