Royal Mash names US and UK sales agents

English vodka brand Royal Mash has appointed sales agency Pace and chef Mike Jennings to spearhead sales in the US and the UK.

The 40% ABV liquid is crafted in 200-litre copper pot stills

The potato vodka brand is bringing new names to its UK and US sales team: Jennings, a Manchester-based Michelin-trained chef who runs The Hospitality Hut; and Pace, a specialist direct-to-retail sales agency.

Royal Mash was founded by Peter Le Fol du Taillis and chef Rachel de Caen.

De Caen said: “We set out to make the best vodka possible. We live on the beautiful island of Jersey, which produces the only potatoes we know of to boast the equivalent of an ‘appellation d’origine contrôlée’ and the quality of the produce is reflected in this spirit.”

The 40% ABV liquid is crafted in 200-litre copper pot stills and boasts a ‘smooth mouthfeel’. It is recommended served neat or a in a very dry Martini.

The brand makes its vodka using unwanted Jersey Royal potatoes that are over- or under-sized for retail.

De Caen added: “We have trialled this product in some of the top bars in Monaco, France, New York and London and the response has been enthusiastic. When blind-tasted against well-established brands, ours is in a league of its own. The many awards we are accumulating are testament to that.”

In May last year, the vodka brand unveiled a new look for the bottling to showcase its royal history. The Royal Mash emblem is based upon the crest of the Le Fol family, who were ennobled by Henry IV in 1594.

The vodka is available in 50ml, 200ml or 700ml iterations.

Royal Mash was listed in The Spirits Businesstop 10 award-winning vodkas and top 10 award-winning travel retail spirits.
