The ‘same but different’ trend show will be located in Hall 7 during wine and spirits trade fair Prowein, which is due to be held in Düsseldorf from 15 -17 May 2022. The show was pushed back from its original dates of 27-29 March due to the emergence of the omicron variant.

The trend show will feature 120 exhibitors of craft spirits, beer and cider from countries across the globe, including: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Estonia, Finland, France, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, Ukraine, and the US.

“Since its debut in 2018, our trend show ‘same but different’ has grown into a real gem for Prowein,” said Bastian Mingers, project director of ProWein.

“Presented here in Hall 7 are pioneers, trendsetters and market leaders in the growth segments of spirits and cider – the perfect choice especially for trade visitors from trend hospitality, the bar community but also food retail.”

Prowein singled out non-alcoholic drinks as a central theme of the ‘same but different’ show, with companies such as Siegfried Rheinland Dry Gin, Dr Jaglas, Heimat Distillers, Alfred Schladerer and Grabriello Santoni providing samples of their zero-ABV alternatives.

Berlin-based distiller Kreutz will also showcase its sustainable Urban Garden Gin, while Deutsche Spirituosen Manufaktur will offer its range of products for the food service and bar industries.

“The success formula and hallmark of ‘same but different’ are its unique spirit and inimitable atmosphere, setting the tone for activities in this exhibition hall,” commented Nicole Funke, senior project manager at Prowein. “With this ambience we deliberately set ourselves apart from other events.”

The fair is set to welcome more than 5,500 exhibitors, including 150-plus spirits producers.
