TOTC unveils theme for 20th anniversary
Tales of the Cocktail Foundation has revealed the return of its New Orleans festival in July 2022 with the theme Progress.
Taking place from 25-29 July this year, the Tales of the Cocktail (TOTC) conference will be held at The Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans, US.
Seminars, events and cocktail crafting will be hosted under the theme of Progress, which is intended to showcase the ‘transformative atmosphere and nature of the resilient cocktail community’.
“This year’s Tales of the Cocktail theme, Progress, allows us to continue looking ahead while also taking a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come in the cocktail industry,” said Tales of the Cocktail Foundation CEO Eileen Wayner.
“It’s in this spirit that we are so thrilled to celebrate the 20-year anniversary and unite together to celebrate the strides and transformations we’ve made as a beverage community.”
Those interested in submitting a seminar proposal for TOTC this year can do so through the TOTCF website, with applications being accepted until 16 January 2022.
Plus, attendees will be able to apply for the Cocktail Apprentice Programme (CAP), a mentorship scheme for up-and-coming bartenders to learn cocktail skills alongside experts. Applications are being accepted until 31 January.
“It is our great honour to host the global cocktail community, who travel from near and far, to join us in our beloved city of New Orleans,” said Tales of the Cocktail Foundation board member Neal Bodenheimer.
“Over the past few years, we’ve proven that we’re a spirited, resilient industry and most importantly, one that is willing to come together and help each other learn, grow, and hone our collective craft. We look forward to the progress that’s still to come in our community.”
For those unable to travel, digital content will also be available to provide education and networking opportunities.
