The six single cask whiskies range from 16 years old to 30 years old

Each expression has been named according to its flavour profile, spanning sweet, spicy, smoky, rich, light and oily.

The oldest whisky, a 30-year-old Blair Athol, will be available exclusively to Wemyss Malts’ Cask Club members for £300 (US$398) per 700ml bottle. It was matured in a first-fill Sherry hogshead.

The ‘spicy and jammy’ single malt, called Jam on Toast, was distilled in 1991 and bottled this year at its cask strength of 50.6% ABV. Only 226 bottles have been created.

Kirsty Mackinnon, brand manager, Wemyss Malts, said: “We have selected one very special bottling; a 30-year-old Blair Athol named ‘Jam on Toast’ to be an exclusive release to our Wemyss Malts Cask Club members. Anyone interested may join the Cask Club free via our website.

“Whether you are a newcomer to whisky or an experienced imbiber, the Wemyss Malts Cask Club also aims to delight and enlighten with regular features and competitions.”

The new releases also include Bananas and Cream (46% ABV), a single cask, grain whisky from Strathclyde distillery. The whisky was distilled in 2005 and bottled after 16 years in 2021. It will retail for £88 (US$117).

Kiwi and Chilli (55.2%) was also sourced from Glenrothes. Only 282 bottles are available, priced at £225 (US$229) each. The 25-year-old whisky was distilled in 1996 and is said to have honey-rich sweetness, exotic fruit and spice on the palate.

Sweet Disposition comes from the Glen Keith Distillery in Speyside and is limited to 492 bottles, each priced at £200 (US$266). Distilled in 1996, the whisky has an ABV of 56.3%.

Completing the range is Ultimate Apple Pie (46% ABV), a single cask bottling from Glen Moray in Speyside. Distilled in 1996, the 25-year-old expression will retail for £150 (US$199).
