Brother’s Bond unveils Hot Toddy set

Bourbon brand Brother’s Bond, founded by Vampire Diaries stars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, has unveiled a Hot Toddy kit for the festive season.

Brothers Bond
Each kit can be purchased for US$74.99

Wesley and Somerhalder created the Bourbon in 2020, in a bid to ‘reverse climate change’, according to the brand’s website.

The branded kit has been launched with drinks delivery service Cocktail Courier, and developed to inspire drinkers ‘to celebrate bonds with one another’.

“The Brother’s Bond Bourbon Hot Toddy cocktail kit provides a perfect bonding experience for those warm and cosy gatherings with the company we love to keep,” explained Somerhalder.

Each kit can make six drinks and includes one 750ml bottle of Brothers Bond Bourbon, three chai teabags, a 120ml bottle of honey syrup and four lemons.

The brand recommends the boxed product be used as a gift, or for at-home entertainment.

Brothers Bond Bourbon sits at 40% ABV, and is a four-grain, high-rye spirit made up of 65% corn, 22% rye and an undisclosed percentage of wheat and barley. It is aged for a minimum of four years in virgin American oak barrels.

The duo’s starred as vampire brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries

The name of the company is a nod to the duo’s former roles on TV series The Vampire Diaries, in which they played brothers, plus their shared love of Bourbon.

The new kits can be purchased through www.cocktailcourier.com for US$74.99.

Last month, the brand founders donated US$50,000 to non-profit organisation Kiss the Ground, which seeks to reverse climate change through regenerative agriculture.

Earlier this year, the famous duo decided to use regeneratively farmed grain to craft their Bourbon.
