Industry charity The Drinks Trust has launched a survey to gather data on the needs of the trade and help develop its services.

The survey takes about 12 minutes to complete

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused hardships in both finances and mental health – often inextricably linked – for many people in the drinks and hospitality industries.

To provide relief, The Drinks Trust dedicated more than £1.2 million (US$1.6m) to directly assist more than 5,000 people in 2020, with 2,619 people receiving industry grants.

Now, to further develop its support initiatives, the nonprofit is asking industry members to complete its survey, which is made up of four sections: ‘you, your work life, wellbeing and diversity’.

“We are very keen to continue to understand the needs of the people within our industry so we can ensure we provide the best possible support to them,” explained Drinks Trust CEO Ross Carter.

“The 2021 survey is an evolution of our first survey last year. We ask all businesses to share the survey so we can build a comprehensive picture.”

The Drinks Trust created the survey in partnership with with We Are Wellbeing, Best Bar None, The Burnt Chef Project, NDML, The Night Time Industries Association, Society of Independent Brewers, the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and the Wine & Spirit Trade Association.

The survey takes 12 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at www.getfeedback.com/drinkstrust2021/. It closes on 26 November.

The Drinks Trust has rolled out a variety of new initiatives as of late, including a mentorship programme in partnership with Equal Measures and a vocational scheme backed by Campari Group UK.
