St James Bar partners with House of Creed

Acclaimed London-based St James Bar has teamed up with perfume house The House of Creed to launch three new cocktails for its Imagination menu.

St James Bar X House of Creed
The partnership has produced three new cocktails for the London-based venue

Launching on 5 November at the bar, located in the Sofitel London St James hotel, the three new cocktails were inspired by ‘iconic’ House of Creed fragrances: Aventus, Silver Mountain Water and Green Irish Tweed.

Marie-Paule, general manager at Sofitel London St James, said: “This is an incredible opportunity to combine our similar but different sectors, perfumes and hospitality, and make our guests experience a unique and unprecedented experience.”

The cocktail influenced by Aventus is called Legacy, and is crafted with notes that match the perfume’s aroma. Blending jasmine, cedar wood and lemon, the drink has been described as a ‘fruity but dry citrus combination’ with a gin base of Tanqueray No. Ten.

The Green Irish Tweed fragrance inspired the Lucky Tweed cocktail, which pays tribute to House of Creed’s equestrian tailoring past through its oaky, citrus aroma. The concoction also includes notes of lavender and bergamot.

Finally, the Alpine Silver serve is shaped by the Silver Mountain Water perfume. Dubbed a ‘refreshing’ cocktail, it has been produced using the citrus notes of the fragrance as the base of its inspiration, which are then combined with a mixture of white chocolate infused with green tea.

Denise Cheng, head of marketing at Creed, said: “There’s no denying that your sense of smell and taste are intrinsically linked.

“Developing a range of curated cocktails that embody Creed’s signature fragrances is an exciting way to discover the scents in an immersive experience that ignites all the senses.”

The bar’s Imagination menu was unveiled earlier this year, and claims to use a scientific, sustainable and abstract approach towards cocktail making. The menu was launched around the same time that the venue appointed Stanislav Andruskevic as its new bartender.
