Non-profit Ducks Unlimited teamed up with Lux Row Distillers to release a new Bourbon.

The new expression is finished in Missouri white oak

Ducks Unlimited works to conserve waterfowl habitats in North America.

The collaborative bottling, Daviess County Double Barrel Bourbon, was finished in Missouri white oak barrels with toasted heads.

John Rempe, Lux Row master distiller and long-time Ducks Unlimited member, said: “The double-barrel finishing process that goes into Daviess County Double Barrel Bourbon is a perfect nod to our Ducks Unlimited partnership, and it brings a unique flavour profile to our latest Daviess County offering.

“Expect a nose that includes crisp toasted-oak notes, caramel and vanilla; sweet caramel, honey and toasted-marshmallow flavours on the palate, and a finish of caramelised sugar and lingering dark chocolate compliments of the toasted head finish.”

Bottled at 48% ABV, the new expression will retail for RRP US$49.99 per bottle.

“We are thrilled to have Lux Row Distillers as an official licensed partner of DU, and we’re excited to see this high-quality Bourbon come to life,” said Jim Alexander, Ducks Unlimited managing director of corporate relations.

“Daviess County Double Barrel Bourbon is certain to be highly sought after by DU members and supporters, and we’re proud of our partnership with the team at Lux Row Distillers.”

Last month, the producer unveiled a limited edition collection of Bourbons: Blood Oath Trilogy Second Edition.

Meanwhile, in March this year, it expanded its Blood Oath range with the launch of Pact 7, an expression finished in Sauternes casks.

Luxco is the parent company of Lux Row Distillers, and was established in 1958 by the Lux family.

In January this year, third-party spirits producer MGP Ingredients agreed to acquire Luxco for US$475 million.
