Ryan Reynolds launches Aviation Gin kit for Wrexham AFC

Actor Ryan Reynolds has unveiled Aviation Gin’s sponsorship kit branding for UK-based Wrexham Association Football Club (AFC).

Wrexham AFC and Aviation American Gin became official partners in February 2021

The American gin brand will be the Wrexham AFC sleeve sponsor on the training wear of the men’s and women’s senior teams for the next two seasons, beginning the 2021/22 campaign.

Wrexham AFC executive director Humphrey Ker said: “We are absolutely delighted to see Aviation American Gin on the club’s senior shirts and training wear for next season.

“With Aviation Gin as a fellow supporter, Wrexham AFC fans can expect even more fun during the season.”

Ryan Reynolds, part owner of Aviation American Gin, is a co-owner of Wrexham AFC along with actor Rob McElhenney. Aviation Gin was named as the club’s official partner in February 2021, and released a limited edition bottle design to celebrate the actors’ takeover of the North Wales-based club.

Ker added: “With Ryan’s dual role as our co-chairman and an owner of Aviation Gin, we look forward to seeing the first cocktail named after the Club and one after Rob.”

The custom-labelled bottles of Aviation American Gin feature Wrexham AFC team colours and crests.

“Both ourselves and Aviation are conscious of our roles in the community and are advocates of promoting responsible drinking which we will use our partnership to highlight.

“No Aviation Gin branding will appear on junior kits or in areas where younger supporters congregate at the racecourse ground.”

Aviation American Gin is also offering to brand Wrexham AFC’s junior training wear to a community partner of the football club’s choice.

Made in Portland, Oregon, in the US, 42% ABV gin is available in more than 40 countries.

Last year, Diageo bought Davos Brands, which co-owns Aviation Gin with Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds, in a deal worth up to US$610 million.
