Crucible debuts citrus liqueur for at-home cocktails

London-based drinks consultancy and creative hub Crucible has released EasyMixt, a shelf-stable citrus blend, to help consumers create bar-quality cocktails at home.

EasyMixt is touted as a ‘hack’ for at-home cocktails

At 12% ABV, the liquid is a combination of citrus distillates, acids and sugar.

It can be used in equal parts with a spirit, providing what the brand calls a ‘high-quality hack’ for a citrus-forward serve.

The product’s creation was spearheaded by Stu Bale, who founded Crucible in 2017. He developed Easymixt in the midst of England’s first Covid-19 lockdown last year, as at-home cocktail making became popular due to the closure of the on-trade.

“Over the last year we finally had the time to slow down and focus, so we made it our mission to resolve the hardest part of the cocktail-making process – finding balance,” Bale said.

“Whether you mix it with your favourite spirit or want to use up that dusty bottle of weird brandy that you bought back from holiday 10 years ago, EasyMixt means you’ll be sipping on a pro-level cocktail with zero waste and minimum effort.”

EasyMixt is available through Shop Cuvée and easymixt.com, priced at RRP £20 (US$27.50) per 700ml.
