Bombay Sapphire creates two new RTDs

Gin brand Bombay Sapphire is expanding its ready-to-drink (RTD) portfolio with two new expressions: Bombay Bramble and Tonic, and Bombay Sapphire and Light Tonic.

The new RTDs will join the brand’s signature Bombay Sapphire and Tonic. Each 250ml can has an ABV of 6.5%.

Bombay Bramble and Tonic will be available from UK retailers, including Sainsbury’s, Ocado and Waitrose from mid-April, before launching in Nisa and Tesco stores from May.

Bombay Sapphire and Light Tonic will be available from retailers, including Morrison’s, Ocado and Waitrose from mid-April, Nisa from May and Co-op from September.

Natasha Curtin, Bombay Sapphire global vice president, said: “Summer is just around the corner and the popularity of ready-to-drink just continues to grow.

“Whether it’s al fresco events, relaxing at home, entertaining friends or on the move, the pre-mix is skilfully crafted to showcase the signature juniper and citrus notes of Bombay Sapphire gin.

“We have also seen research that shows 90% of RTDs are consumed in the home, which is testimony to the versatility of the category.

“The beauty of the Bombay Sapphire ready-to-drink portfolio comes from an emphasis on convenience but not at the expense of taste or quality. Our expertly balanced gin is perfectly mixed with the tonic, offering our fans a premium, bar-quality cocktail.”

Last month, Bacardi-owned Bombay Sapphire unveiled a new sunset-inspired gin as part of its Special Editions series.

The brand is also aiming to become the first gin made using entirely certified sustainable botanicals.
