The George Remus Bourbon brand was named after the legendary ‘king of the bootleggers’ and is made by MGP at the firm’s distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, in the US.

The 2021 Single Barrel programme will offer participating accounts the chance to connect virtually with the distillery team to taste, select and order their preferred mash bills.

Retailers can also choose to customise the label of their 2021 single barrel whiskey to ‘enhance the collectable aspect’ of the programme.

George Remus Bourbon single barrels are available for pre-sale until 15 March.

The whiskeys will be shipped to each participating retailer by September 2021 to coincide with National Bourbon Month in the US.

Andrew Mansinne, vice president of brands, MGP, said: “The Remus family of Bourbon whiskeys exemplifies MGP’s expertise in distilling, aging and blending.

“Our Single Barrel programme offers an exciting complement to our Bourbon portfolio and allows us to showcase our historic high-rye mash bills.”
