Teeling Renaissance has welcomed a second 18-year-old single malt to the fold

The Renaissance series launched in 2019 and was designed to celebrate the ‘true global renaissance’ of Teeling, Dublin and Irish whiskey.

It followed the producer’s Revival Commemorative Series.

The second Renaissance whiskey was initially matured in ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished in ex-Australian Shiraz wine casks.

Bottled at 46% without chill filtration or added caramel colouring, only 9,000 bottles have been created. Tasting notes include ripe red fruits, sour cherry and soft spice.

The single malt will be presented in a gift box and priced at €140 (US$165) per 700ml.

Jack Teeling, founder and managing director of Teeling Whiskey, said: “These releases are a celebratory bottling series to mark the true ‘renaissance of Dublin’ as the epicentre for world-class city-based whiskey distillation.

“As the leader of the new wave of Dublin whiskey distillers, we look forward to contributing to and helping the continued renaissance of Teeling, Dublin and Irish whiskey.

“With our Dublin-distilled Irish whiskey now being exported around the world, we are witnessing a new dawn, which is perfectly encapsulated in our Renaissance bottlings.”

In July, Teeling released the oldest whiskey in its limited release Vintage Reserve Collection: Teeling 37 Years Old Irish Single Malt.
