Martin Miller’s Gin names UK brand ambassador

Zamora Company has appointed Rory O’Sullivan to the role of UK brand ambassador for Martin Miller’s Gin.

Rory O’Sullivan will be key to the brand’s 20th anniversary celebrations

O’Sullivan has more than seven years of experience working in the on-trade, including roles at venues Trailer Happiness, 65 and King, Goat Chelsea and Be At One. He also previously worked for mixer producer Franklin & Sons and was a brand ambassador for Martin Miller’s Gin in 2017.

“I am delighted to be returning to Martin Miller’s Gin as its UK brand ambassador,” said O’Sullivan. “As a passionate spirits enthusiast, it is a career highlight to be working with the brand that ushered in the gin renaissance at the turn of the century, through the creation of the first ever gin of this quality and purity. It truly was a game changer and its founders were pioneers.

“As Martin Miller’s Gin looks to the next 20 years, I look forward to supporting their commercial goals in the on- and off- trade and introducing the gin to the next generation of Martin Miller’s Gin customers.”

In his new role as UK brand ambassador, O’Sullivan will support the gin’s growth in the on-trade and off-trade, as well as online. He will also train staff in the on-trade, approach new and established customers, organise tastings and tours, and host events.

Jamie Stewart, country manager, UK and Ireland, Zamora Company, said: “The UK brand ambassador role is a vital one for Martin Miller’s Gin, so we are thrilled that Rory O’Sullivan has accepted it.

“Growing our brand awareness and our footprint in both the on- and off-trade are key focuses for us and we are putting a renewed emphasis on growing our presence online. Rory’s passion, enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of the spirits market will support this and make him the perfect addition to our team.”

O’Sullivan will be instrumental in the 20th anniversary celebrations of Martin Miller’s this year. The brand plans to launch a new line extension this autumn and a Art & Creativity platform by the end of 2020.

Spain’s Zamora Company purchased a majority stake in Martin Miller’s Gin for an undisclosed sum in January 2018.
