Whisky.Auction seeks bottles for covid-19 charity sale
Online auctioneer Whisky.Auction is seeking donations from drinks companies and industry professionals for its charity sale in April, which will see all proceeds go to The Drinks Trust.
Whisky.Auction will host its charity auction from 5-14 April
The April auction will go live on Sunday 5 April and will run until 14 April. It is a collaboration between Whisky.Auction, The Whisky Exchange, Speciality Drinks and Speciality Brands.
All money made from the charity auction lots, including buyers’ commission, will be donated to The Drinks Trust charity in its efforts to support trade members in the UK who have been affected by the coronavirus shutdown.
Isabel Graham-Yooll, auction director at Whisky.Auction, said: “Hospitality is at the heart of the drinks trade and we want to ensure we are providing all the support we can to the hospitality industry’s moment of need.
“We are so grateful to everyone who has donated bottles so that we can raise plenty of cash for The Drinks Trust to help them continue to support those who have lost their jobs or who are struggling due to the current situation.”
Anyone who would like to donate a bottle to the Whisky.Auction Covid-19 Charity Auction should contact info@whisky.auction. Bottles that do not arrive in time for the April auction will be placed in the next auction.
Bottles already confirmed for the auction include: Hanyu Ichiro’s Malt The Joker, Pappy Van Winkle 23 Years Old, Glenfarclas 30 Years Old, Longmorn 23 Years Old and magnums of Absolut Elyx.
