Tovaritch! gains new listings in Brazil and UAE

Vodka brand Tovaritch! is seeking to grow its global footprint in 2020 after signing a number of new distribution partnerships in different markets.

Tovaritch! eyes global growth for 2020

Tovaritch! signed a new strategic partnership in Brazil at the start of 2020, listing with Brazilian supermarket chain Angeloni.

Brazil is the second South American market for Tovaritch!, following its launch in Paraguay. The brand hopes to establish a greater presence in the south of Brazil and explore potential in South America further.

In additional news, at the start of the year Tovaritch! partnered with a new on-trade distributor in the UAE – Abu Dhabi Maritime and Mercantile International Company. The firm will be responsible for all Tovaritch! listings across Abu Dhabi’s hotels, bars and restaurants.

Eugenio Litta Modignani, CEO of Tovaritch Spirits International, said: “I chose MMI [Abu Dhabi Maritime and Mercantile International Company] as our local on-trade partner because it is a reputable full-service distributor with the strongest presence in Abu Dhabi and also Pernod Ricard’s official distributor.

“To top it off, they agreed to include Tovaritch! in their portfolio as the house vodka, which only served to solidify my decision.”

Off-trade distribution in the region will continue to be looked after by Truebell.

Meanwhile, in Canada, Tovaritch! celebrated a “great year” in 2019 as sales surpassed 1,000 cases since it launched in the country in 2018. The company attributed its success to its local distributor and importer, Vignôme.

Litta Modignani added: “The Vignôme team did a fantastic job introducing our premium brand in top bars in Montreal and the area.

“Bars are a door opener to a new market and being visible in the best of them is a great achievement for the brand and an inspiration for us to dream big.”

Jordan also proved to be an important market for Tovaritch! in 2019, with sales up by more than 90% compared to 2018.

Distributor Shiffar Investments and Commerce first brought Tovaritch! to Jordan in 2015.

Litta Modignani said: “Tovaritch! cooler machines proved one of the key growth drivers in the on-trade channel, giving the brand a unique, easily recognisable identity in the crowded drinking scene.”
