Bombay Sapphire unveils canned G&T

Bacardi-owned Bombay Sapphire gin has become the latest brand to enter the ready-to-drink (RTD) space with the launch of a canned G&T.

Bombay Sapphire has launched a canned gin & tonic, bottled at 6.5% ABV

The RTD Bombay Sapphire & Tonic is packaged at 6.5% ABV and priced at £2.80 (US$3.60) per 250ml can. The canned G&Ts are now available to buy from UK online retailer Ocado.

Victoria Morris, vice president at Bombay Sapphire, said: “As a category leader in premium gin, we are frequently asked at Bombay Sapphire when we plan to enter the ready-to-drink category. So, I am delighted to announce our latest addition to our growing portfolio.

“The development of Bombay Sapphire & Tonic took time for good reason, as we know our consumers expect only the very best from us and we are extremely proud to say that we’ve created a ready-to-drink befitting to the Bombay Sapphire name in terms of taste, quality, craft and ingredients.

“We look forward to shaking up the ready-to-drink category with an option that our fans will love, and that promises to be unrivalled when it comes to taste.”

Packaged in a “sleek, matte finish” can, Bombay Sapphire & Tonic is said to be best enjoyed cold and poured over ice with a squeeze of lime.

The launch of the canned Bombay Sapphire & Tonic follows the brand’s entry into the liqueurs category with the release of four 50ml expressions.
