ProWein and Bottlebooks sign strategic alliance

Trade show ProWein has entered into a strategic partnership with data platform Bottlebooks, which will enable exhibitors to enter their spirits and wines into an online database.

The 2020 ProWein show will be held in Düsseldorf on 15-17 March 2020

The partnership will allow companies to exchange and distribute information about their products.

Bottlebooks is an online platform that is used by events, associations, retailers, distributors and producers to “streamline their product information workflows”.

Bastian Mingers, global head of wine and spirits, and director of ProWein, said: “ProWein is the worldwide leading trade fair for wine and spirits.

“ProWein showcases the most diverse selection of wines in the world. Having tools to navigate that complexity is important to a successful visit. Partnering with Bottlebooks enables us to have an efficient process for exhibitors to upload their content to our new website and app.”

Around 6,900 exhibitors are expected at the next ProWein show, which will be held in Düsseldorf on 15-17 March 2020.

The ‘same but different’ concept will feature more than 120 producers of craft spirits, craft beer and cider from 24 countries.

“With almost every kind of relevant product represented, ProWein is the world’s largest order platform for this field. Just as importantly, it offers an indispensable range of networking opportunities for the entire spectrum of players in the wine and spirits industry,” added Mingers.

“A who’s who of the international sector will be coming together for three trade fair days in Düsseldorf, to burnish existing business relationships and establish new ones. There’s also a supplementary programme of tastings and seminars to expand the horizons of even the most experienced trade visitor.”

The 2019 ProWein show attracted 61,500 visitors over the three-day event.
