Barsys unveils ‘smart’ cocktail-making coaster
At-home bartending technology company Barsys has launched an app-controlled coaster to help budding bartenders create cocktails at the click of a button.
The Barsys Coaster aims to “ensure a perfect cocktail” at home
The new Barsys Coaster connects to the brand’s cocktail-making app and aims to “ensure a perfect cocktail” by guiding at-home mixologists through each step of a drink’s creation.
By connecting to the app, consumers can follow the recipes for their favourite drink, with the coaster lighting up and changing colour to show when to start and stop adding each ingredient in the mixing glass.
Akshet Tewari, Barsys founder and CEO, said: “Most people don’t realise how many great cocktails they can make from just a few simple ingredients. All they’re missing is the knowhow to put it together.
“With the Coaster, we set out to make serving a cocktail as easy as grabbing a beer or pouring a glass of wine. Cocktail-making requires a level of skill and precision that anyone can now obtain.”
With the Barsys Coaster and app, aspirational bartenders will have access to a library of cocktails and recipes. They will also be able to design their own recipes and share them with other users around the world.
Coasters are available to pre-order now for US$95 through the Barsys website and will officially launch in December at an RRP of US$149.
