Wine Show Chelsea names Lixir as tonic sponsor

New mixer brand Lixir has signed up as the exclusive tonic sponsor for the upcoming Wine Show Chelsea in London.

Lixir’s mixer range will be available at the Gin and Tonic bar at Wine Show Chelsea

Organised by The Spirits Business and sister title the drinks business, the third Wine Show Chelsea will take place at Chelsea Old Town Hall, London, from 18-20 October.

More than 2,500 drinks enthusiasts are expected to pour into this year’s event, which will offer a vast programme of tasting, networking and learning opportunities.

Manned by The Spirits Business team, a number of leading spirits will be available at the Gin and Tonic bar.

Guests will have the opportunity to taste a range of gins at the bar including Grace Gin from Greece, William Kerr’s Gin from Scotland’s Borders Distillery, Island Gin from Isles of Scilly in England, Scottish gin Mycroft, London’s Jensen Gin and Finnish brand Gustav Metsä Gin.

This year’s tonic sponsor, Lixir, was launched in January 2019 by English entrepreneurs and bartenders Jordan Palmer and Matt Mahatme.
The duo created the brand after spotting a gap in the market for a tonic brand that can “reflect the quality and variety offered up by the spirits category”.

The Lixir range includes five products: Classic Indian, Refreshingly Light, Elderflower & Lemon, Rhubarb & Ginger and Blood Orange & Cinnamon.

The range has been designed to “encourage people to rethink the classic serve of tonic with gin”.

Ticket holders will receive one free gin and tonic at the bar.

This year’s show will also offer guests the chance to sample some of the top medal winners from The Spirits Business’ Global Spirits Masters series.

Members of the trade will be invited to attend The Wine Show Chelsea on Friday 18 October from 1pm-5pm. To register for your free trade pass, click here.

The event will be open to consumers on 18 October between 1pm-8pm, on 19 between 1pm-7pm, and on 20 October between 12.30pm and 6pm.
