The Rock reveals Teremana Tequila distillery
Film star and former wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has taken to social media to offer fans a sneak peek of his new Tequila distillery, which has been named Teremana.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson posted a picture of himself and a team standing in front of Destileria Teremana
Speculation that Johnson was planning a move into the Tequila industry started in 2018 when his team applied to register the Mana trademark. Then, earlier this year, the actor posted pictures of himself taste-testing blanco, reposado and añejo samples.
Yesterday, Johnson posted a picture of himself and a large team standing in front of Destileria Teremana, and explained that ‘Tere’ translates as ‘earth’, while ‘Mana’ means ‘spirit’.
He said Teremana’s Tequila would be “small-batch” and made using blue agave.
His post continued: ‘After years of hard work, this blessing is truly a dream come true – but it’s just the beginning and there’s much work to be done. I’m committed with my team to bring you the best Tequila, because quality and legacy are what matter most.
‘From all of us here at Distilleria’ Teremana, we invite you to COME HAVE A DRINK.’
The hashtags used by the actor – #Itsalmostready and #Q12020 – suggests the Tequila will launch early next year.
