Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to launch Tequila
American actor and semi-retired professional wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is reportedly preparing to launch a Tequila brand.

Dany Garcia, Johnson’s current manager and ex-wife, submitted a trademark application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office on 19 January 2018 for the trademark name ‘Mana’.
The application states that Garcia will be using the trademark name for Tequila.
The Scorpion King actor is a keen fan of Tequila, often mentioning his love for the agave-based spirit on his Instagram and Twitter pages.
Last year, The Rock also described the definition of ‘mana’ in an Instagram post depicting his bull tattoo, stating: “Look closely and you’ll find the life, energy, power and you’ll feel the MANA (spirit).”
Garcia and Johnson are co-founders of production company Seven Bucks Production and recently opened a advertising agency called Seven Bucks Creative.
If Johnson joins the Tequila bandwagon, he will follow in the footsteps of George Clooney and Rande Gerber’s Casamigos brand – which was sold to Diageo for US$1bn last year – and Justin Timberlake’s Sauza 901 brand – which Beam Suntory has had a minority stake in since 2014.
