Rémy Martin to discontinue VSOP Mature Cask Finish

Cognac house Rémy Martin will discontinue its VSOP Mature Cask Finish expression while reverting back to the black frosted bottle design for its VSOP variant.

Rémy Martin VSOP has reverted back to its black frosted bottle

With the discontinuation of Rémy Martin VSOP Mature Cask Finish (MCF), Rémy Martin VSOP will become the “only VSOP reference internationally in the Rémy Martin collection”.

As such, the brand has decided to return the VSOP Cognac to its original frosted black bottle design, which was first brought out in 1972.

Rémy Martin VSOP will launch in its new packaging from September and October 2019, priced at RRP £36.50 (US$45).

Baptiste Loiseau, Rémy Martin cellar master, said: “I have always considered the black bottle to be the reference of the house [of Rémy Martin].

“By returning to the original frosted bottle, we are paying tribute to our roots: the essence of fine Champagne.”
