Lawton will take up the position from 28 October 2019 and will report to Four Pillars co-founder Stuart Gregor.

Originally from the UK, Lawton has been based in Australia for the last eight years.

His latest job was working as area director for North Asia and Oceania at Rèmy Cointreau.

Lawton, who will work out of the Four Pillars office in Sydney, will also work alongside Tom Appleton, who will step into the role of regional trade director for Australia, the Americas, Africa, Europe and the UK.

Earlier this year, Four Pillars moved its UK distribution to Cask Liquid Marketing.

In March, Australasian food and beverage marketing company Lion purchased a 50% stake in Four Pillars Gin for an undisclosed sum.
