Edinburgh Gin adds Lemon & Jasmine to flavoured range

Ian Macleod Distillers-owned Edinburgh Gin has unveiled a lemon and jasmine-infused expression in response to growing demand for citrus-flavoured gins.

Edinburgh Gin Lemon & Jasmine combines the “juniper-forward profile of a London Dry” with “fresh lemon and aromatic jasmine”

Edinburgh Gin, which also produces a rhubarb and ginger-flavoured gin, as well as a range of flavoured gin liqueurs, combined the “juniper-forward profile of a London Dry” with flavours of “fresh lemon and aromatic jasmine” to create its new expression.

According to IRI and CGA data cited by the brand, sales of flavoured gin have surpassed £780 million (US$942m), while citrus-flavoured gin was the fastest growing flavour segment of the last 12 months.

Neil Mowat, UK marketing director for Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “2019 has been a defining year for Edinburgh Gin as we turn our premium distilling credentials and flair for flavour to full-strength gins.

“Lemon & Jasmine is the next chapter in this flavour story; celebrating the refreshing contrast of lively citrus and mellow florals – coming together to create an invigorating and versatile full-strength gin.”

Bottled at 40% abv, the new gin is priced at £28 (US$34) per 700ml bottle.
