Alchemist offers free cocktails for food bank donations
Bar chain The Alchemist is offering free cocktails in return for food donations as it strives to raise awareness of food poverty in the UK.
Guests at The Alchemist will receive The Colour Changing One in return for any food donations
The UK-based bar chain has partnered with charities across the nation and is calling on imbibers to bring in non-perishable food items that can be donated to local food banks.
In return for their donations, drinkers will receive a free cocktail in one of the chain’s venues. The Colour Changing One will be offered to those donating to food banks, the cocktail is made with Grey Goose vodka, Briottet apple, soda and citrus.
Hannah Plumb, head of restaurants at The Alchemist, said: “These are truly fantastic local charities tackling food poverty across the UK which is an issue we’re particularly passionate about at The Alchemist.
“This activity is a fun and engaging way to encourage customers to donate to their local food banks, who are in need of donations now more than ever.”
The Alchemist will accept any tinned, dried and packaged foods throughout the day, as long as they are in date, and unopened.
Earlier this year, the bar chain unveiled an augmented reality (AR) cocktail menu called The Conjurer, which is brought to life through a smartphone app.
