Proof Drinks launches Melonade apéritif in UK
Drinks distributor Proof Drinks has taken over the UK marketing and distribution of fruit apéritif brand Melonade.
Melonade is made with melons grown in the French town of Cavaillon
Part of the Ælred Spirits range, Melonade is produced at Distillerie Eyguebelle in France according to a recipe laid down by French monks.
Bottled at 12% abv, Melonade is made using melons grown in the town of Cavaillon in south-eastern France.
Frederic Fichet, CEO of Eyguebelle, said: “I’m delighted to launch this partnership with Proof Drinks for the national distribution of our Melonade. This partnership is all about the product, sharing a common passion for authentic and craft spirits.
“We hope British customers will enjoy Melonade, its unique French taste directly inspired by the sunny provencal lifestyle.”
Proof Drinks also distributes Eyguebelle’s Chestnut Liqueur in the UK, as well as Cazcabel Tequila and Cut Rum.
Last year, Proof Drinks appointed Hi-Spirits founder and former chairman Jeremy Hill as its managing director.
