Jack Daniel’s and Shoe Surgeon unveil bespoke trainers

Brown-Forman has partnered with shoe designer Dominic ‘The Shoe Surgeon’ Chambrone to create seven prototype Jack Daniel’s-inspired trainers.

The Shoe Surgeon created seven trainer designs inspired by Jack Daniel’s

Debuted at pop-culture convention Complex Con in Chicago, the collaboration saw the Shoe Surgeon team create sneakers inspired by elements of Jack Daniel’s branding.

After visiting the distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, the Shoe Surgeon team created seven pairs of basketball trainers inspired by grains, Jack Daniel’s water source Cave Springs, the distillery, the charcoal used to filter the whiskey, barrels, honey and the Jack Daniels’ bottle.

Chambrone said: “Craftsmanship is the ultimate common denominator between what I do and those who make Jack Daniel’s.

“We have a mutual respect and care for the process and the end product is highlighted through every last detail.”

From the seven designs produced, the public will be given the chance to vote for their favourite – a limited number of which will be produced later in the year. Voting will open to the general public at the end of August on complex.com.

Earlier this year, Brown-Forman released a limited edition bottle design for Jack Daniel’s, called Legacy Edition 2.
