Funkin Nitro Canned Cocktails to launch £1m campaign
Cocktail purée and mixer company Funkin Cocktails is preparing to launch a £1 million (US$1.25m) campaign to support its Nitro Canned Cocktails range – the firm’s biggest investment to date.
Set to launch in the UK on 17 July, the campaign will run until September covering out-of-home advertising and digital platforms. It will feature on posters at six “major” railway stations, roadsides and taxis, as well as social media channels.
Funkin hopes the marketing push will reach 7.2 million consumers aged between 25 and 44 years old.
Ben Anderson, marketing director at Funkin Cocktails, said: “Canned cocktails have notoriously been of poor quality and our flavour expertise, cocktail knowledge and nitro technology means we are bringing the best tasting, best looking cocktails to consumers no matter where they are.
“Our advertising campaign will ensure that Funkin Nitro Canned Cocktails are seen by the nation and we would urge the trade to ensure they are stocked up, especially during the key summer season as they are perfect for outdoor events, picnics and barbecues.”
The Funkin Nitro Canned Cocktail range launched in May and features four serves that have all been infused with nitrogen for a “smooth finish”: Espresso Martini, Passion Fruit Martini, Amaretto Sour, and Pink Gin Fizz.
Each flavour comes in packs of 12 x 200ml cans and has a 12-month shelf life. With an abv of 5%, each Funkin Nitro Canned Cocktail has an RRP of £2.29 (US$2.85).
