1800 Tequila recruits rapper Kojey Radical for campaign

Proximo Spirits-owned 1800 Tequila has partnered with British rapper and artist Kojey Radical to launch the 1800 Studios campaign.

British rapper and artist Kojey Radical has created limited edition designs for 1800 Tequila

Created as a “celebration of self-expression and creativity”, the campaign will see the brand take over Dalston Roof Park in London to open its 1800 Studio.

During the residency, the rooftop garden and bar will serve four exclusive 1800 Tequila serves and, on Saturdays and Sundays, a pop-up shop will sell limited edition T-shirts and woven patches featuring designs created by Radical.

As part of the campaign, Radical has also designed three limited edition bottles as part of the 1800 Tequila Essential Artists programme. This is the first time that the initiative, originally founded in the US in 2008, has unveiled a UK series.

The limited edition bottles will be available at Selfridges and on Amazon priced at £40 (US$50), as well as through the pop-up shop at the 1800 Studios.

Radical, who started his career in fashion design and has been nominated for two MOBO Awards, will launch the activation and collaboration at an exclusive event at Dalston Roof Park on 24 July.

Last year, 1800 Tequila partnered with American rapper Pusha-T to launch 1800 Seconds – a recording and artist discovery platform for rising hip-hop stars.
