Robinson, who joined the maker of the Glengoyne, Tamdhu and Smokehead Scotch brands on 1 May, spent 19 years with Imperial Tobacco, most recently as head of key accounts and customer marketing global duty free.

In his new role, Robinson will be responsible for southern and Western Europe (excluding Dufry), Middle East & Africa and will also be the channel lead for airlines and cruise lines.

He joins the team led by GTR director William Ovens, who joined the company last year. Robinson will work alongside Lars Bruns, the business development manager for north, central and Eastern Europe; activation executive Sarah Tounsi; commercial co-ordinator Gwen Fleming; and training and admin support Katie Burns.

“I am delighted to welcome Mark to the team, his considerable experience of the channel will be of great use to us as our GTR business moves on to an exciting new stage of its development,” said Ovens.
