Crown Royal creates peach-flavoured whisky for summer
Diageo is set to release a limited edition peach-flavoured variant under its Canadian whisky brand Crown Royal to tap into “summertime occasions”.
Crown Royal’s new peach-flavoured Canadian whisky will launch in March
Crown Royal Peach Flavoured Whisky is a combination of the brand’s “signature smoothness” with Georgia peaches.
The “easy-sipping” expression is recommended served on the rocks or mixed with ice tea and is targeted at outdoor occasions such as a barbecue or a Sunday brunch on a rooftop.
Bottled at 35% abv, the whisky has “vanilla and light notes of warm spice and oak on the nose”.
“As a leader in the whisky business, Crown Royal continues to take pride in ensuring we are ahead of the trends and creating high-quality products that help feed whisky drinkers’ desire to experiment,” said Sophie Kelly, senior vice president of whisk(e)y at Diageo North America.
“Crown Royal Peach is the perfect limited-time offering because the taste is undeniably delicious, great for summertime occasions, on the rocks or mixed with iced tea.”
Packaged in a cut-glass bottle, Crown Royal Peach Flavoured Whisky comes with the brand’s signature box and bag.
It will be available across the US from March 2019 at an RRP of US$24.99 per 750ml bottle.
Last May, Crown Royal launched a “smoky and spicy” expression, which has been infused with Texas mesquite wood.
