GlenAllachie appoints Winebow Group as US distributor

Speyside distillery The GlenAllachie has appointed The Winebow Group as the exclusive US distributor of its single malt Scotch whiskies.

The whiskies will be available across 22 US markets, including California, Florida, Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington.

David Keir, sales and marketing director at GlenAllachie, said: “By bringing together the expertise of both companies, we have every confidence that our brands have the perfect platform to launch and grow in years to come.”

Billy Walker, former managing director of the BenRiach Distillery Company, acquired the GlenAllachie distillery with a consortium of investors for an undisclosed sum from Pernod Ricard in 2017.

The consortium included Trisha Savage, former general manager at BenRiach, and Graham Stevenson, ex-managing director at Inver House Distillers.

In July this year, GlenAllachie released its first core range of single malt whiskies, comprising four expressions aged for 10, 12, 18 and 25 years.

Earlier this month, the distillery revealed plans to release a series of single cask whiskies tailored towards specific markets and retailers.
