‘Strong yet sassy’ Sisterhood pink gin launches

Two women have joined the pink gin movement with new “strong yet sassy” Sisterhood Rhubarb Gin, designed to celebrate female togetherness.

Sisterhood Rhubarb Gin is the latest pink expression to come to market

Created by gin lover and shoe retailer Jamie-Leigh Burgess and former armed-police officer Claire Barclay, the new pink expression is bottled at 42.5% abv and is available to buy online at mygin.co.uk at an RRP of £36.70 (US$48).

Sisterhood Rhubarb Gin is distilled in copper pot stills and is said to be a juniper-led expression, infused with lavender, coriander, cardamom and rhubarb.

The label design aims to “reflect the colourful and creative UK woman – inclusive of whatever career or creed”.

Burgess said: “The whole feminine movement that’s happening is hard to ignore and we can’t help but feel that we are surrounded by powerful women – marching, moving and making.

“Gin distilling is an art Claire and I have come to by luck – but now we have found our niche.”

Sisterhood Rhubarb Gin is the latest in a flurry of pink gin releases, including Gordon’s Pink Gin, Beefeater Pink, a pink expression from Hoxton Spirits, Pinkster Gin and UK supermarket Asda.
