Innovation be to showcased at Wine & Spirits Show

Some of the industry’s newest and most exciting spirits will be available to taste at the upcoming Wine & Spirits Show in October.

Freya is one of the spirits that will be showcased in the New Products Zone of The Wine & Spirits Show

The event is a collaboration between The Spirits Business and the drinks business and will take place on 12 and 13 October at The Royal Horseguards Hotel in London.

Over the course of the two days, the event will bring leading wine and spirits brands together for an exciting programme of discussion, tasting and learning.

The Wine & Spirits Show will encompass two halls – one dedicated to wine and one to spirits – and will feature a number of masterclasses for the trade and consumers.

There will also be a New Products Zone, which is set to be one of the main attractions of the event, showcasing cutting-edge and innovative new expressions.

Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin will be one of the products available to sample. To create the expression, Four Pillars combines its Rare Dry Gin with Australian Yarra Valley Shiraz grapes.

The stand will also feature Freya Birch Spirit, a line of innovative products distilled from birch tree sap – thought to be an industry first. Freya is created using “only sustainable methods”, distilling birch sap that is harvested once a year from birch forests in Northern Europe.

Meanwhile, Mezcal Union Uno, a range of 100% agave mezcals, is sure to entice agave lovers and those keen to further explore the booming category.

Representing the pink contingent will be Bottomley Distillers’ strawberry-infused Pin Gin, Código 1530 Rosa Tequila and Orkney Gin Company’s Rhubarb Old Tom. As the pink craze continues to gain momentum, these expressions are sure to capture both eyes and palates.

Stay tuned for more information on which creative spirits will be showcased at The Wine & Spirits Show’s New Products Zone.
