Hibiki celebrates 30th anniversary with artistic design

Beam Suntory-owned Japanese whisky brand Hibiki has unveiled a limited edition bottle design to mark its 30th anniversary.

The limited edition Hibiki Japanese Harmony bottling marks the brand’s 30th anniversary

The bottle of Hibiki Japanese Harmony will launch in the US on 1 October.

Takahiro Itoga, senior global brand director at Beam Suntory, said: “Since the brand was first established, Hibiki has been a representation of Japanese art and design.

“This specially-designed bottle honours that spirit, utilising traditional Japanese symbols to create a design representing both celebration and shared happiness. The bottle in and of itself is a work of art, making it the perfect gift for the holiday season.”

The bottle has been inspired by a traditional kimono pattern and is embellished with the tabane-noshi, a traditional Japanese symbol of celebration.

Hibik was launched by Japanese drinks group Suntory in 1989. In 2015, the brand launched its Hibiki Japanese Harmony expression, a blend of grain and malt whiskies from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries.

Earlier this year, Suntory announced plans to expand its Japanese whisky portfolio with the launch of Hibiki Blender’s Choice.
